Steve Strout: Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Strout, a co-founder of Black Watch Data, brings a broad range of knowledge and experience in understanding of how organizations can, and do, use technology to address the multiple issues facing business today. He has over 25 years of extensive experience that has taken him through many industries and positions. As in the many roles he has worked — from Assistant Controller to CIO, he has been responsible for over 450 different implementations of new systems including Oracle, GEAC, JD Edwards, and SAP — always driving "on-time and on-budget."
His experience includes 12 years in varying operating positions within The New York Times Company; 7.5 years as CTO with The Thomson Corporation; 5 years as CIO with Morris Communications and most recently as CEO of Americas' SAP Users' Group (ASUG).
James Weller: Vice President Sales
Mr. Weller, a co-founder of Black Watch Data, has had a very successful career in the SAP ecosystem for almost 18 years. He has held several key positions with SAP America and external consulting where he has demonstrated success in SAP delivery, sales, business development, engagement management and people development.
He was previously one of the first platinum level consultants within SAP America and this base gives him a deep level of understanding of SAP processes, projects, and methodologies. His broad client base of implementation experience has given him a broad exposure to many industries and types of companies from family owned to global multi-billion dollar organizations.
Peter Dunning
Peter joins our board bringing many years of service with SAP and other companies in the SAP eco-system. Peter served as president of field operations for RightNow Technologies, Inc. Prior to RightNow, he was executive vice president and general manager of S1 Corporation where he was the EVP/General Manager. Peter brings an established track record of success, including founder/CEO roles at other start-up companies such as Omnexus N.V. and FacilityPro.com, as well as executive management positions at Oracle, SAP, and Dun & Bradstreet.
At SAP, Peter served as Executive Vice President of Global Accounts Business Unit, accounting for 60% of revenue for SAP America. Prior to that, Peter was Senior Vice President of the Southern Region where he was instrumental in advancing SAP's footprint in the United States by building the company's business in the southern region, including the start-up of offices in Atlanta, Dallas and Houston.
Dunning received his bachelor's degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Georgia.
Phillip Hancock: Chief Technology Officer
As chief technology officer, Phillip oversees the development and delivery of all technical solutions for Black Watch Data. Phillip brings more than 15 years of experience in leading software development efforts for small to medium sized companies specializing in web based solution delivery. He has tremendous success in building effective agile development teams and overseeing all technical aspects of delivery and operations.
Prior to Black Watch Data, Phillip served as Senior Director of Engineering at Cartera Commerce, a software-as-a-service provider of multi-channel merchant networks and performance advertising solutions, where he successfully managed development, quality assurance, and creative efforts. Before Cartera, Phillip held leadership positions at SwingVote, Fidelity Information Systems, and other software development companies. He brings with him strong technical leadership and mentoring skills that will propel Black Watch DataĆs products and offerings to continued success.
Andrew Mathewson: Vice President Professional Services
With over 20 years of executive management experience, Mr. Mathewson brings a depth of knowledge and experience that is unique in the consulting environment. He has established many PMOs and Centers of Excellence while being focused on ensuring his client's on-time and on-budget delivery of large global projects.
Mr. Mathewson has demonstrated passion for assuring clients are fully capable of self-management upon completion of a project.
Rusty Reed: Vice President Business Development
Mr. Reed's 20 year career has allowed him to be a sales leader and involved in a variety of industries in key positions. He also has founded and owned two successful enterprises. He has served as Senior Vice President, for Pro Players Inc., where he led and spearheaded client acquisition and international initiatives.
Mr. Reed spent 10 years with Wilson Sporting Goods, a division of Amer, in the business development / marketing side. He also had stints in the Healthcare Industry as Executive Director of Agent MD, a division of Jackson Healthcare and did merger and acquisition work for Cendant Corp. in the real estate division.
Carl Gritzmaker: Vice President and Managing Director International Sales
Mr. Gritzmaker has a well established history as a senior executive in the technology industry. He has held many executive sales and operational roles in companies such as Univac, Lotus, Ashton-Tate, Pilot Software, Information Resources, Amicis and Per-Se Technologies.
Mr. Gritzmaker holds a B. S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico.
Phil Morrison: Vice President, Alliances
Mr. Morrison has over 30 years of technology, software, management consulting, and alliance experience. His responsibilities have included alliance management, strategy, operations, business development and marketing.
Through his experience at Digital Equipment Corporation, Dun & Bradstreet Software, Accenture, and Sentry Technology Group, Mr. Morrison has demonstrated his knowledge of the issues, challenges, and solutions required in today's complex environment. He has written alliance methodologies and developed, sold and implemented Performance Based Supplier Management for numerous companies. His alliance experience spans resellers, channels, professional service providers, technology partners, and equity investments.
He has consulted with numerous companies including, CGI/AMS, Booz Allen Hamilton, Georgia Pacific, Coke, Marriott, and others.
Keith Daniel: Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Daniel has over 25 years of accounting and management experience ranging from Assistant Controller to VP of Finance. He has been involved in numerous implementations of new ERP systems in those years to include PeopleSoft and SAP.
Experience includes years with The New York Times Company; Gannett; Morris Communications and most recently Americas' SAP Users' Group (ASUG), serving as Vice President of Finance.
Laura Wentworth: Director of Marketing
Laura Wentworth brings over seven years of marketing experience to Black Watch Data.
Her work within the technology sector began with Converzion, where she acted as the Senior Marketing Manager, creating marketing collateral for both US and European brands.
Rob Heitmeier
Mr Heitmeier, advisory board member of Black Watch Data is currently Chief Financial Officer at PolyVision Corporation with responsibility for Finance, I.T. and Strategy Development.
Mr Heitmeier has a diverse background that includes stints in operations, supply chain, numerous roles within the finance function, and his most recent role as business unit general manager.
He has been involved in numerous SAP project implementations and brings an extensive business acumen to the I.T. application development effort.
Rod Masney
Rod Masney, O-I, Global Director of Technology Infrastructure; Rod Masney is a former Chairperson of ASUG and has over 20 years experience with SAP.
Diane Melick
Diana Melick, Siemens IT Solutions and Services, Vice President & General Manager & Head of IT Strategy & Governance; Diana Melick is a senior executive with 20 years of experience in successfully driving steady corporate growth and sustained productivity through implementing strategic roadmaps, global solutions, solid technology foundations and standardized process management.
She has focused on building strong teams, developing key executive and international relationships, and implementing outsourcing models that support business needs, enhance quality, while reducing overall costs.
Tony Theisen
Tony Theisen, CIO, Zep Inc.
Mr. Theisen has more than 22 years of Senior Information Technology Leadership experience, mainly focused around Business Process transformation and integration initiatives. He is currently providing Information Technology leadership for Zep Inc., which provides superior cleaning, sanitation, and pest control solutions. Prior to Zep Inc. he has held key leadership positions for Georgia Pacific, The Pillsbury Company, and National Car Rental.
Tony has considerable experience in acquisition and integration of businesses, as well as large business process improvement initiatives both internationally and domestic. He has also been heavily involved in the training and utilization of Lean principles and tools.
Tony received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota Mankato and his Master of Business degree from the University of St. Thomas. He is actively involved in Georgia Southern University's Information Technology and SAP programs.
Tony actively participates in Georgia CIO, Techlinks, TAG, and ASUG groups, both as a member and speaker/panelist. He is also an active mentor, within the Pathbuilder's Achieva program.

Adam Waites: Vice President Sales
Adam Waites is Vice President Sales, south east region for Black Watch Data. He is responsible for business development for Black Watch Data SaaS solutions and services ensuring its continued leadership in enterprise master data management.
Mr. Waites has more than 25 years of experience in sales, consulting, marketing and senior management in the high-tech sector. An award winning dynamic business development leader dedicated to help clients maximize full profitability potential, Mr. Waites has deep industry and business expertise as well as a broad knowledge of SAP.
Previously, Adam was Sr. Enterprise Executive for SAP, where he had overall responsibility for business development in an emerging market vertical sector. He was a key member of an industry-leading team responsible for introducing new solutions and increasing market share. Under his guidance, SAP solutions were introduced to strategic clients; achieving double-digit growth in vertical sector revenue. Prior to leading SAP into a successful emerging market venture, Adam directed several successful leadership roles in a variety of start-up companies. During his tenure, he has help over 200 $1B plus companies drive inefficiencies from operation through the successful implementation of software and consulting services.
Mr. Waites earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Georgia - Terry School of Business. He resides with his wife and daughter in the Atlanta area.
Kirsten VanRiper: Vice President, Midwest Region
Kirsten VanRiper, brings over 17 years of Executive Level IT Sales consulting experience as the Team Lead for companies such as General Motors, Ford Motor, Whirlpool and others. Kirsten is able to very quickly focus her clients towards understanding the business connection to drive technology forward and bring many sides of a company to the table to create synergy in order to compete in a global economy.
Kirsten's experience includes working with companies such as Covansys and Logica UK and SAP America as a Sr. Client Partner leading over 40 International accounts during her tenure. This experience has given her the ability to work directly with her clients in both the IT and business areas to help them implement, augment or solve the full gamete of SAP methodologies and solutions across multiple business domains. "Her clients depend on her to go the extra mile and she does."
Aside from Account Leadership, her responsibilities have also included alliance strategy, training, corporate development and marketing.
Cliff Retzlaff: Chief Customer Officer
Mr. Retzlaff comes to us from Deloitte. While at Deloitte, he was a very successful Consulting Partner leading some of the largest and most significant global enterprise transformation engagements, primarily enabled by SAP software. Mr. Retzlaff has lead numerous efforts for clients going through mergers, acquisitions, or divestiture efforts with a focus on commonality of processes, organizational design opportunities, and other synergies.
He brings with him an excellent set of skills which include deep routed business experiences in various discipline from accounting, manufacturing, logistics, sales and marketing, and research with an understanding of the unique business requirements for companies operating within consumer business, life science, food and beverage, medical devices, and meat industries., as if that is not enough, he also holds strong supply chain management experience and hands on involvement with all of his projects.
Glenn Irwin: Vice President
Glenn worked for SAP Labs for 8 years as a Solution Manager for the Industry Business Unit (IBU) for both Consumer Products and Life Sciences. He was SAP's Beverage industry and Direct Store Delivery process expert in the Western Hemisphere. He was the IBU's principal Point of Contact with the Latin American Region. His responsibilities included explaining SAP solutions for business process problems both internally and to customers and the gathering of business requirements from customers for development in SAP's solution set. Glenn also worked with Partner organizations to identify potential Partner solutions which might be adapted, certified and included in the overall SAP ecosystem and solution set.
Prior to his employment with SAP Labs, Glenn worked with The Coca-Cola Company for 20 years. His experience with Coke included marketing, distribution, financial and project management. He was a member of the core team that established the Company's requirements for an ERP system, evaluated all of the ERP vendors, and selected SAP as the replacement system for Coke's legacy system architecture. Glenn wrote the business case for the Board of Directors that was used to gain approval for the purchase and implementation of SAP
